Tracey has a broad skill set in strategic ambulance operations and scrutiny, as well as project and programme management. She has a proven track record of leading and delivering transformation initiatives, performance improvements, enhanced efficiency, and technology programmes.

Tracey began her career with WMAS in 1989, progressing through several senior roles within EOC and Operations, and led the programme management office. In 2013, she joined EMAS as an assistant director of operations, a role she held until 2018, when she left to pursue a career in consultancy. Since then, she has worked with ambulance trusts across the UK, as well as with the broader healthcare sector within NHS community trusts, established consultancy providers, and user services and supplier organisations, providing independent consultancy and SME advice. 

She is recognised for maintaining strong client relationships, demonstrating excellent leadership and people skills, and being an intuitive communicator.

Key focus areas:

  • Control room and operational leadership
  • Senior programme management: overseeing and directing large-scale, complex programmes, including infrastructure upgrades, technology redesigns, and the implementation, updating, and relocation of mission-critical systems and communication platforms such as CAD, telephony, radio, and network systems.
  • Proven recent and ongoing expertise in leading and delivering major estate relocations for both 999 EOCs and 111 integrated urgent care centres.
  • Implementation of make-ready models and operational estate rationalisation.
  • Provides senior operational leadership for service development and transformational change, driving operational improvements through process re-design, with a proven record of enhancing performance and achieving operational efficiencies.
